Michael Rebresh announces his run for Congress in the new 16th District
Rebresh is a native of Minooka, Illinois
Republican Michael Rebresh, a lifelong resident of Minooka, Illinois, has declared his run for the 16th District Congressional seat held by Representative Adam Kinzinger. Because of the redistricting after the census, the district has been pushed further west into the district held by Representative Darin LaHood. Recently Kinzinger revealed his plans not to run for re-election. Kinzinger is an outspoken hater of President Donald Trump and his America First Policies. Since announcing his run for President, Kinzinger has been on the attack on Trump and his followers, many of whom are in his district. Criticizing Trump in the media and sitting on commissions investigating his presidency including an impeachment panel with Democrats. Later, Kinzinger developed a “Country First PAC” to attack the President and unseat his followers in elected office. So far, this bid has failed, and he could not raise any money or replace not even one America First elected official.
Therefore Rebresh ran to replace Kinzinger. Joining five other candidates, he felt it was his calling to unseat Kinzinger because of the damage he has done to the Republican Party, and its core conservative values. With Kinzinger stepping aside, Lahood announced his intentions to run for the newly-districted 16th. Lahood, who was a co-chair of Trump's 2020 re-election campaign has since broken with Trump over the January 6th insurrection that the Capitol placing the blame directly on Trump stating: " He was part of the rally that morning" "He encouraged people to go to the Capitol to protest'' he continued to state: " Some of the things he said at that rally clearly incentivized and encouraged people to go up there, and that's part of the problem." Lahood later became an ally of Kinzinger and candidate for the 17th Congressional district in Illinois, Esther Joy King who herself was endorsed by Trump haters Dan Crenshaw, Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger. He turned his back on Trump!
When I interviewed Mr. Rebresh he expressed his disapproval of Lahood and his failure to bring anything to the table. He explained: " Lahood had forgotten about Illinois and has focused on Washington D. C. and the money he had made from the lobbyists" "The farms have been forgotten meanwhile he has lined his pockets, we have term limits in America and they're called elections, his political career is over!" Rebresh is no stranger to a fight. A Navy veteran, he later attended Illinois State University. Becoming a business owner, going into the trucking industry as an owner/operator. Driving across the country, hearing the stories of thousands of Americans. One thing he said that most Americans have in common is the fact that they love America and Trump. And that is why he is running because of service. Rebresh, who is married and a father of three, wants a future for them leaving no debts to them left by this generation.
Rebresh stated: "America needs representation, for the seniors and the veterans. We require strong borders and a national defense. Better healthcare and school choice for our kids. Enough with the mandates, masks and over regulations. Americans have had it!" He explained the need to fight crime and the drug cartels. Blocking the drugs means cutting off the guns that cause the crime. Rebresh is a supporter of the Police and the military and wants to create programs to combat youth crime though educating the parents to provide the skills to monitor and raise their children. Like it or not, Rebresh wants to shake things up not by attacking but by being a leader and informing the public of the elected leaders and their failure to do the jobs they were elected to do. Instead of playing golf, Rebresh described he will work hard to answer every phone call and to initiate legislation to help all Americans. His tag line is: "Refresh America with Rebresh". We look forward to hearing more of his story when he is elected!
