Diane M. Harris, a social and fiscal conservative, Pro-life Baptist mother of three and two dogs. Born in a Conservative Democrat family, she was taught to love her neighbor as herself and always work hard to achieve the things wanted in life.
She was educated in Will County’s Public Schools. She’s a Graduate of JJC and the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science in Management. She has lived in the Historical Cathedral Area of Joliet for 21 years and attends Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where she has also taught Sunday School. Diane was a member of IBEW #1460 and #15 until retiring after 32 yrs. Now she's a Small Business Owner in Downtown Joliet and currently serves as Trustee for Joliet’s Public Library, Vice Chairman of the Joliet Township Republicans, 23rd Precinct Committeeman, and a member of many boards and organizations throughout Will County. She has been a Congressional candidate and a candidate for State Representative.
Diane says, “I know that the government is supposed to be of the people by the people and for the people. But that has not been for quite some time. Our forefathers created laws based on a government for the people. I support Tax Cuts because the state tax rate is 6.25%, which is why individuals will continue to move where it’s more comfortable to live. I support Election Reform because it is important to have voter integrity and voter integrity must prevail during elections. She also says, “The 2nd Amendment has its own statutes and is very clear. There’s no need for redundancy. For example, the Foid card and lastly, Spending Cuts, we must find ways to reduce spending. Legislators should take a look at their own salaries.” You will be able to go to her Facebook and Webpage for more info. (Is under construction.) She says, “being for the people and for a limited government that serves the people, I announce my candidacy to run for State Senate in the 43 District of Illinois and I hope to have your vote.”
